Who we are

Resto Group is a multi-brand franchise operator.

We bring world-class restaurant brands to the DRC and run them end to end, from the central kitchen to the table. Part of a group with a footprint across five countries. We operate international franchises to their global standard and create our own concepts for this market, carried by teams who know Kinshasa and the infrastructure behind them: supply chain, warehousing and a central kitchen.

2022

Entered the DRC, opened PAUL

We brought the French bakery house, at home since 1889, to Avenue de la Justice in Gombe. A first restaurant, a first team, and a promise: the same bread, the same standard and the same welcome you would find in Paris. Kinshasa answered, and the group was born.

2023

Best Business Plan Achievement

A year of proving ourselves, closed with a distinction. The Best Business Plan award recognized what sits behind the restaurant: serious sourcing, trained local teams, and a brand held to its international standard in a market many considered too hard.

2024

DRC Investor Recognition

DR Congo named us a Model Investor, and that recognition carries weight here. It honors a way of building: investing for the long term, employing and training Congolese talent, and treating the country as home rather than a market to pass through.

2025

Opened PAUL Downtown

A second address in the heart of Kinshasa, ovens lit from early morning. PAUL Downtown took what worked and did it again: the same menu, the same discipline, the same care as the original. Proof the first was no fluke.

2026

Opened PAUL Le Café

Another way to meet the house: coffee first. PAUL Le Café in Gombe is the lighter face of PAUL, espresso, viennoiserie and sweet things through the day, made as much for the pause between meetings as for the long Saturday breakfast.

Coming next

Lume & Paroma

The next chapter is already in the works. Lume and Paroma are two concepts of our own, imagined for Kinshasa, and each will get what every opening before it received: no launch until it meets the standard.
